Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a major public welfare initiative titled “Apna Ghar, Apni Chhat”, aimed at uplifting poor and unemployed citizens through free agricultural land and modern farming support. The scheme focuses on long-term economic stability by enabling self-employment and land ownership.

Free Agricultural Land to Promote Self-Reliance

While speaking at the inauguration ceremony of an electric bus service in Rajanpur, Maryam Nawaz revealed that the Punjab government will distribute 250,000 acres of agricultural land among deserving individuals. Under the scheme, each beneficiary will receive 3 to 5 acres of land, helping low-income families build a stable source of income.
